Product Description

The Southwold Studio is a beautiful and quite unique garden building which comes as standard with full length toughened glass windows and single fully glazed contemporary door fitted with a three lever lock. It's a light and airy studio designed for arts and crafts, hobbies or general working and storage. The Southwold has 2" by 2" PAR studwork and 12mm cladding.

Manufactured in our own Essex-based factory from slow-grown Scandinavian quality redwood, these contemporary timber designs have been very well received by our customers. Delivery & installation on all Studio Range buildings are fully included in the prices quoted below.

Specifications

Our studios can be supplied either with our light brown preservative, alternatively it can be provided untreated should you want to coat in your own choice of colour.

We recommend using Bedec Barn Paint on our buildings, a paint that we use on a number of our show models. This unit comes with extended glass windows in the front and sides as standard, all glazing is toughened glass. Southwold units come with a single opening door and has an internal height of 7' at the front of the building and 6'1" at the rear of the building.

If that is not high enough, we can manufacture the building one board higher (or 3.5" in height). You can always choose your own door position. If you like this design but require premium spec, the cladding and studwork can be upgraded.

Plus of course, the best benefit is our unique selling point - free delivery and installation with all Carr Garden Buildings.

EPDM Roofing System

Our buildings are fitted with standard roofing felt with a 1-year guarantee, but we strongly recommend upgrading to our EPDM rubber roof covering, which comes with a 5-year guarantee.

Providing a correct base for a Timber Building

Our timber buildings need a concrete base due to the weight of timber construction. The base should be solid, flat and should be the same size as the building ordered size (above). All of our buildings are sold as agricultural or storage portable buildings and not suitable as residential dwellings. If located in exposed locations, customers should consider using ground anchors or use over-shed steel bonds to secure their building against strong winds.
